‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5: Chris O’Donnell, cast celebrate 100 episodes with party

More scoop -Whenever you are a show that gets to that rare 100-episode achievement, there is really just one thing you can do to reflect on everything that you have done: Party! Typically, a giant cake is also involved in there somewhere.

Well, on Friday the cast of “NCIS: Los Angeles” got the opportunity to do all of the celebrating that they wanted to, and cake was very much included (with the show’s logo plastered on the front). The milestone was celebrated with an event at Paramount Studios, which was attended by the likes of stars Eric Christian Olsen,Chris O’Donnell, Miguel Ferrer, Daniela Ruah, Linda Hunt, Barrett Foa, L.L. Cool J and Renee Felice Smith. There was also champagne, just in case anyone had a serious curiosity as to what the folks in attendance were drinking.

So what will be the content of this episode? We expect something exciting, and given that it will happen a few weeks after the premiere, the story will be able to propel just enough so that the focus is not going to completely be on stories that are left over from the hostage situation and the end of season 4; we should be breaking some new ground by the time we roll around to this installment.

The season premiere of “NCIS: Los Angeles” will air on Tuesday, September 24 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and things that you can expect in the early going are some big scenes for Kensi and Deeks, and also the ramifications of that kiss and what it will mean for these two characters. New adversaries will surface during the first half of the season, and we’re talking about so much more than just the standard culprit at the end of each episode.
