ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Will Ashley Davenport die?

Earlier this summer, the news was first revealed that “Revenge” was going to be losing a series regular in Ashley Madekwe, but there were still plenty of other questions, including how this character is going to leave the world of the show.

While you may have heard the actress previously pleading that her character of Ashley Davenport go out in a dramatic blaze of glory, the truth of the matter is that she is going to live to see another day. As for the reason why, it’s pretty simple: There are still hopes to do something more with the storyline. Just see what showrunner Sunil Nayar had to say to TVLine for evidence of it:

“We’re not killing her. We’d never do that! She’s too great a character. As sad as we are to bid her farewell at the moment, you’ll see that the way we resolve her storyline now gives her an opportunity to come back with her own revenge agenda.”

Sounds juicy, no? Well, just remember that her exit involves a doctor … and that is literally all of the information that is out there. Even still, Ashley’s exit probably is not the biggest “Revenge” mystery out there right now. We’re instead giving that honor more so to what was revealed during the first promo for the new season, which features Emily Thorne getting shot while wearing a wedding dress.
