‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and a new face in New York
What does the future hold now for Rachel and Kurt in New York on “Glee”? In the wake of the stunning news regarding Cory Monteith’s death, this has been a question that has understandably taken a back seat. The first two episodes will be spent mostly tying together loose ends from last season, and then the third will be addressing the death of Monteith’s Finn.
But after that, we start to venture into the great unknown. What we can say for sure right now is that Adam Lambert is going to be guest-starring at some point beyond the opening episodes of the season, supposedly as a nemesis of sorts for Chris Colfer’s character, and that there will be man joining the show, as well. According to E! News, producers are now hunting a guy to be a major recurring star on the show this year. He’s described as being older than the McKinley High gang, very handsome, and capable of belting out some big notes.
While we know the temptation will be to say that this is going to be the new love interest for Rachel this year, it feels wrong to jump to conclusion before we really know anything at all. It could be a new teacher at NYADA, someone in the “Funny Girl” production, or a friend that Rachel or Kurt meets within the walls of the school.
We assume that there will be more details revealed about the rest of season 5 a little later this fall, given that the priority first and foremost is going to be on something that runs a little bit bigger than the show and any prospective guest stars that stop by. Ryan Murphy confirmed that Finn’s cause of death may not even be revealed during the tribute, and that this episode will deal more with the emotional reactions of those that knew him.

Matt why do you keep saying that Adam will be in a guest role when Ryan Murphy has already said he’s joining the cast.

I agree with melody. That sounds like it’s Adam Lambert. E News often mess up with casting news and put out something that’s actually already happened.
