‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: ‘True Blood,’ ‘Dark Knight’ alum join Suicide Squad

It looks like “Arrow” is going to be getting its very own Legion of Doom coming up for season 2, and it will arrive in the form of the Suicide Squad. These are characters who are going to have something to prove to the hero and to the people of Starling City, and we wonder already if they are going to mark the sort of Big Bads that we have been hearing about over the past few weeks.

Before we do anything else, let’s talk casting. In addition to Deadshot, a villain that is already a part of the show’s family, this squad will apparently consist of Kevin Alejandro (“True Blood”) as Sebastian Blood, a character who rises in power following the earthquake and becomes a formidable adversary to what the Arrow stands for. We hope that Blood sticks around for a while, mostly because we feel bad that Alejandro is basically the young version of Sean Bean when it comes to his roles not seeing the light of day for very long.

Meanwhile, Michael Jai White (“The Dark Knight”) is another member of this squad, and he will play Ben Turner. This role is otherwise known as the Bronze Tiger, and he will work alongside Kelly Hu’s China White, one of the returning villains this season. (There’s no word about Jessica de Gouw’s The Huntress returning right now.)

Also at the Comic-Con panel, it was not necessarily ruled out that the Dark Archer would be gone for good, even though this may have just been Andrew Kreisberg (executive producer) being a bit of tease. Right now, the villains we can count on are the ones mentioned here, and also the recently-announced Summer Glau.
