‘American Idol’ tour opener: Watch Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, Angie Miller perform
Several years ago, the start of the “American Idol” tour would have been considered a big deal, and something really worth discussion from the masses. However, there are times this year when it really feels a little bit more like an afterthought for some. There were many dates canceled, many tickets are still available, and there has certainly been friction displayed publicly with many members of the touring artists. Not exactly a great mixture.
The unfortunate thing about all of this is that the problems with “American Idol” season 12 (and there were many) ended up overshadowing the great singers who did make it to the end this year, including three of the best pure singers to make it to the very end of the show. Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, and Angie Miller were understandably the standouts for us of the tour opener in Kent, Washington last night, and we have videos of all three artists performing below.
Take a quick look at some of the artists’ most-notable moments.
Kree – She of course took advantage of the opportunity to perform her single “All Cried Out,” which still sounds great live. Kree has already had an opportunity to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, so she has had opportunities to perform before even getting out on this tour.
Angie – Angie sang her new original “Put It On Me,” and thematically it feels rather similar to her famed “You Set Me Free.” The song is about releasing burdens, and how she can be the one to help you do that.
Candice – While Candice did perform “I Am Beautiful,” we cannot pass up the opportunity to show a video of her performing “Lovesong,” given that it was one of the greatest performances in the history of the show when she did it earlier this year.

Some people respond visually, for others ,including myself, its what were hearing.. it means very little to me if a performer is waving there arms,,running around, shaking their fist, pointing, dancing, their looks, heritage, size, shape , gender, etc., giving looks of “hey, I mean what Im singing” , especially when there singing lacks an emotional vibe within their delivery of the song, lacking technical vocal skills , vibrato, nuances, crescendos, dynamics, which translates into mediocrity. I can remember being young and only relating to certain types of music and performers.. Its called musical immaturity.. For me It was all about popular music and what I thought was popular,, I didnt like jazz,, didnt like blues or blue grass, didnt like gospel, didnt like country,, couldnt stand opera,, you know what IM talking about.. I wanted to rock & dance, and go go go, get excited,, get moved.. AS time passes by ,, things change.. It happens gradually.. Some people have this ability (musical maturity) already without the musical prejudices. When I was young, I was prejudice about all kinds of things and about music , musical styles, songs, beats, tempos, even instruments , and of coarse singers.. I was not able to emotionally tap into these other styles of music & singing etc. NOW I feel so different looking back how I was.. ITS called maturity.. the people that connect with Candice .. KNOW and FEEL that strong emotional connection when she sings,, its quite amazing,, she dont have to move around, jump around,, say clever things.. her voice is a treasure of emotional bliss..Her singing is brilliant. The Angie fans that dont enjoy Candice are simply Musically Immature and possibly a few other things as well..I enjoy Angie, but she does not touch my soul the way Candice does. Angie cannot match Candice’s vocal skills. NO CONTEST. Theres a whole prejudicial immature world out there always changing, growing, maturing and recycling.. People are prejudice & immature about many things.. religion, politics, where you went to school, whats your job, how much money you make, what FOOD do you eat..WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE!! Let old things pass away, cause they really dont matter that much,, its about the experience,, the journey. learn to love it all.. I dont care what your religion is,, political preference, your job, what you look like etc,, its all good.. I thought I would never enjoy opera.. wow was I wrong.. and of coarse all other music too that has touched my soul.. Prejudice and immaturity can destroy the earth,, it seems people are trying to get the prejudice thing under control some, but failing miserably, and the immaturity part GETS a big failing grade.. people at the top running this planet into the ground, hiding behind the scenes, behind there corporate companies shielded by foundations, trusts, estates, and high priced lawyers etc.. ALL in there insatiable desire for POWER, MONEY and CONTROL,..they’re never satisfied, They’re psychotic. Will the people survive? Will the planet ??? I really hope so.. WHEN will they MATURE?? When will everyone mature? DRUG companies,, POWER companies, OIL companies, WORLD BANKERS, there are so many GROUPS (FANS) FANATICS out there that only care about themselves.. CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG??

I do not enjoy Candice and I think that I have sophisticated taste in music. Just hitting the right notes does not equate to putting on a great performance. I do not like the tinny / squeely sound of her voice or her phrasing and poor articulation. There is nothing special about her. I said that Angie should have won this contest because she was more popular and that means that she should have gotten the most votes. I do not think Angie is a great singer, but she is a better entertainer.

Kerry, I see that your condition is very serious , your having serious delusions, displaying text book Schizophrenia, your also deluded & demented exhibiting prejudices as I pointed out in more ways than one.. Its not a popularity contest, maybe if you close your eyes while you listen, you might be able to hear or feel who sings the best. Which voice touched the souls and the hearts of all the judges and of millions of people across the country every night she sang on American Idol more than any other contestant? CANDICE GLOVER.. IT takes greatness to know greatness. Mariah Carey absolutely loved Candice’s performances.. Are you saying Mariah Carey dont know great singing when she hears it, feels it? Your delusional about performance and your delusional belief in your sophisticated taste is all in your schizophrenic mind.. Kerry, you think you have sophisticated taste? Kerry, you dont think well, you think poorly. You are suffering from Schizophrenia..
Candice in no way sounds tinny or squealy..Candice’s phrasing and articulation are professional and her tone is smooth and very pleasant to the ear.. Candice’s voice is legendary, she’s a very hard worker and NOT a quitter.. She is Living proof of what can result when someone applies serious dedication. By believing in herself after failing on prior years on American Idol , she proved herself to the world.. You really are crazy you know?? No I guess you dont know.. Online is the only place where you can voice your crazy opinions and get away with it.. IF you were to sound off your absurd, delusional, schizophrenic opinions out in public, you would find yourself in deep deep trouble.. I bet you dont have any black friends.? Maybe your just plain stupid.. Make a doctor appointment, you really need help.. Get some professional help, get some therapy, get some music lessons, get some life experience, stop hating people because of what they look like,. Your definitely on the naughty list, its probably not your own fault. Kerry, you exhibit symptomatic classic textbook behavior as a Schizophrenic. Common symptoms include auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and or disorganized thinking, and it is accompanied by significant social or occupational dysfunction. The onset of symptoms typically occurs in young adulthood,,with a global LIFETIME prevalence of about 0.3–0.7%. Diagnosis is based on observed behavior and the patient’s reported experiences. IF you would tell me where you live , I could have a doctor sent right over and he or she would most likely have you committed for observation immediately.. Your not normal and you may be a danger to those around you and or yourself.. SERIOUSLY, no joke.. SO keep on blabbering your deluded, delusional, demented opinions, its only a matter of time for you when someone hears you and YOU will get yours..

If you think that my opinion of Candice is based on her race, it is you who has the disturbed mind. I will not waste my time responding to the rambling of a mad man any further.

so glad to know the comments here all support Angie, but also, I think Kree and Candice deserved the spot in the final 2.
But Angie is really all I care about and I think she rocked the house on both Seattle and Portland. She left nothing on the table and was so engaging. A true rockstar and entertainer. I really have no assessment on Kree and Candice because they are not the type of singers I like, …. okay maybe I like Kree as well.
But I am convinced that Angie has star quality and star power to make it big.. I hope placing 3rd did not hurt her chances in the mainstream. She’s really fun to watch, such happiness and confidence overflowing from her presence and her smile.. it’s infectious..

Angie gave a wonderful performance. Did fantastic like I always thought she did on Idol. I will always wonder how Idol would be doing now with record sales if the winner would have been Angie.

Candice, Kree are both excellent vocalist, but boring and bland performers. Angie is the one that gives a great performance. Janelle too. All the others… lol!

The talent this year is boring. Calling any performance by Candice “one of the greatest in the history of the show” is an insult to some of the great singers like Kelly and Adam. Candice is just not in their league. She was the winner chosen by the producers and not by the viewers. Kree has had how many chances in the music business and could not make it? Kree won’t make it now. Both these girls totally lack personality and charm. This year will go down as the worst in the history of American idol. It is a shame for Angie, because if she won, as all social media numbers showed she should, at least American Idol would not have looked as rigged. You can not fool the viewers about who is more popular like they did when Arkansas produced 38 million votes when Adam should have won or by having Candice win this year. The Idol tour will bomb because everyone wants to forget the most manipulated season ever.

couldn’t agree with you more. I know that for me and the rest of my family alone, had it been Angie who won, I would’ve dragged all my bloodline and friends to watch this concert.. but no worries, Ang will stay and I will wait for her own concert, just hope the empty seats wont discourage her.

You have Prejudicial, musical immaturity… not a serious affliction at the moment ,but can lead to segregation if not conquered at some point.

seems like the Seattle post did not like Angie.. quoted saying “Not coming off as well: the popular but shouty, hard-sell rocker-chick-lite Angie Taylor,”
and who the hell is Angie Taylor?? LOL.. i think it all comes down to personal preference. Angie is a true entertainer

Exactly! Candice will be Melanie Amaro 2.0. Candice is like watching paint dry. I agree with your assessment of Kree. She had her chance. If she did not make it by now. It won’t happen. NO IT factor for either. Only Angie has the IT and the stage presence.

It seems to be contagious ,, you are exhibiting the same irrationality…perhaps you too , should have yourself committed for observation for your own safety.. your condition is called “prejudicial musical immaturity”.. and your displaying symptoms of Schizophrenia.

Kerry, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. I have had the pleasure of seeing Kree perform at the Stage in downtown Nashville along with Winona Judd and believe me it was awesome. Kree’s voice is as smooth as velvet and her beauty is totally captivating. Candice’s performances both on Idol and after Idol have been stellar, what a fantastic talent. Candice is also focusing on fitness and diet and is absolutely HOT!! She will soon be ready for the cover of “Shape” magazine. Both of these women have great careers ahead of them in the music business, just give them time, great things don’t happen overnight

I disagree that Candice’s performance on Idol was “stellar’. Kree does not connect to the emotion of the lyrics. They are girls with good, but not great voices and they are both boring entertainers. Millions of people stopped watching Idol because of the dull entertainment. That is why the tour is bombing at the box office and their record sales will be poor. The numbers speak for themselves.
