ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Gabriel Mann looks at exits with perspective

Gabriel MannWhen you are on a show that is titled “Revenge,” there are a few things that you really do have to expect coming up at some point. What’s one of them? That there will be some people committing revenge, and that a few bodies will fall as a result. In the finale, some of Emily Thorne’s actions, whether it be directly or indirectly, played a role in causing Declan Porter’s life to end. While Ashley Davenport has not passed away, the news also broke in the past several weeks that Ashley Madekwe will also not be around for any more of the show.

So what is Gabriel Mann’s take on all of this? The actor’s character of Nolan Ross has been lucky enough to handle all of the terrible things thrown at him thus far, but Mann admits to E! News that when the time is right, it could be him that is walking out of the show’s metaphorical doors:

“I learned about Ashley leaving from Ashley … We’ve been made aware of it from the very first season that any of us could go at any time. So we were all under the impression that we are on a ticking clock to a certain point. But the beauty of Revenge is that nobody ever really leaves, so when they say that Ashley is leaving, I don’t think it is quite as cut and dry as that.”

Mann’s comment makes it appear that either Madekwe could return in some capacity in the future, or her character will have managed to do something crazy that causes everyone to scramble at the start of the season. (Personally, this is what we are hoping to see if nothing else, since we never completely understood the character’s intentions.)
