‘MasterChef’ USA spoilers: ‘Glee’s’ Cory Monteith to make pre-season 5 appearance

As we reported last night, the contestants on “MasterChef” are going to be interacting somewhat with the cast of “Glee” for Wednesday night’s episode. What we can report now is that some of these contestants will be seeing more big-name stars beyond just Jane Lynch.

In the video below, you can briefly see the likes of Kevin McHale, Matthew Morrison, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Cory Monteith all receiving plates from the two kitchens, and then pick the winning team along with the rest of the show’s crew. We’re not entirely sure just how impressed all of these people are to be since really we’re judging them based on split-second clips in a promo. (Not really fair, is it?)

The one thing that may come as a relief to some of the contestants is that Lea Michele doesn’t seem to be present, as we imagine that the show would otherwise highlight her. Why’s this a big deal? It’s simply because she is a vegan, and it is a heck of a lot harder to try and make vegan food for someone, especially when you’ve never done it before and have no idea what you are doing.

For those of you interested in a time frame for this challenge, filming for the season happened many months ago, and after Morrison’s character of Will Schuester was shipped off to Washington DC for a time. We’re guessing, based on the fact that they are both there, that filming here occurred around the time that Will and Monteith’s Finn were trying to coach the New Directions together.
