ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Stana Katic knows Beckett’s answer
Even though Nathan Fillion may remain in the dark when it comes to the future of Rick and Kate on “Castle,” we cannot say the same thing about all of the other actors. Namely, we’re talking about the woman responsible for the Beckett character.
Stana Katic was recently asked by Entertainment Weekly if she knows whether or not Kate accepts her boyfriend’s proposal at the end of the season 5 finale, and she surprisingly answered. Sadly, there’s a big difference between answering a question and actually doing something to create suspicion one way or the other:
“I know the answer, and I’m not telling you … I think that her answer is the perfect one for the character and for the show. I think it has been long enough for a yes or no answer. I figure the intense situations they’ve gone through together has sped up their bond.”
We do not expect to have a firm answer one way or another about what Kate says until the show actually comes back on the air in September, but isn’t this the best in many ways? While you may believe right now that you want to know the answer to this key proposal question, it would really take the fun out of the entire episode to know this far in advance. At least this does not take the fun out of guessing or speculating, which we’ll do plenty more of moving ahead.

Well honestly she might not say yes because she wants the Job and when ‘Castle’
said he wants more she never answered the question she said she agrees to them deserving more but i did find this theory
“People are saying that she will say not right now and move to D.C. but then she will realize that isn’t what she wants… I sure hope she says yes too… (eagerly waiting for the premiere of season 6)”

Interesting! Stana also spoke about the job offer and why she thinks that Beckett should take it. I would therefore go for a ‘YES’ but not yet’ answer also. Personally I’d go for a time jump at the start of Season 6, with Beckett in the DC job. From there, we start to get her back to NY with Castle in tow all the way of course and some serious talikng between them about their relationship. Looking forward to it.

Tamala Jones (Laney) also mentioned not to underestimate Becket’s ambition. But I think they are just teasing the fans. If she took the job there wouldn’t be a show because the show is all about Castle & Beckett solving crimes – together. I am not even sure Beckett decided to take the job by the final scene. I think that she couldn’t see herself letting go of Castle as evidenced by the apology for keeping secrets. Seeing how devastated she looked by what she thought was Castle breaking up with her, I think she realized in that final scene how much she loves him. When he shocked her with proposal she realized how much Castle loves her since he let the issue of secrets go and stepped up and committed himself to her. With all that going on, I can’t see her taking that job even on a trial basis.

I think if Stana knows, Nathan also knows. He’s just not saying anything because he doesn’t want to say the wrong thing. She definitely will not say “NO.” She will say “Yes” but not yet. One glaring problem is that if they married they can’t work together and Gates can’t keep their marriage a secret. I think that is what Stana meant in her answer.
