‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Producer talks danger, zombies, and more
This just in: Season 4 of “The Walking Dead” is going to have a ton of zombies. Shocking, no? While we are clearly being sarcastic here, it really is worth noting that what we will see is going to be some of the most-dangerous stuff that the characters have faced just yet, and that is saying quite a bit.
Not to beat a dead horse (or in this case, a twice-dead zombie), but it is pretty apparent already that the walker threat is going to be taken up a few notches now. Thanks to The Governor getting his evil on throughout much of season 3, there was a feeling almost as though the original spirit of the show was slightly lost by some fans.
Luckily, these same people are set to be very satisfied very soon, at least based on what executive producer Gale Ann Hurd said recently in a chat with the show’s own network in AMC:
“I think we’ll have walkers who are even more ravenous than before. We’re in a world where there are fewer people and more walkers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw that on-screen this season.”
As for some of the struggles that come along with producing such a high-budget show with a huge cast, Hurd also alluded to some of the production struggles the show has faced in the past:
“We have serious weather issues to contend with. We had one day where there was a torrential downpour and a tree fell on the set, so you just have to roll with stuff like that. Other times, you realize that a character that you thought might live actually has to die.”
Do you think that the stakes are going to be raised to a new level on this upcoming season when it comes to the walker threat? If you want to watch a preview video that gives you plenty more reasons to be excited about this season, all you have to do is click here.
