‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: More on the episode 9 showdown

“Game of Thrones” fans, HBO is obviously trying to send out a message to you: They feel rather bad about making you sit around and wait for whatever is going to be coming up next on the show. What other explanation is there for getting the official synopsis for “The Rains of Castamere” today?

We’re never going to complain, though, about getting new details about an upcoming episode regardless of the reason … especially when they gave you a feeling that there are a few characters that are completely and utterly screwed:

“Robb (Richard Madden) presents himself to Walder Frey (David Bradley), and Edmure (Tobias Menzies) meets his bride. Jon (Kit Harington) faces his harshest test yet. Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) discovers a new gift. Daario (Ed Skrein) and Jorah (Iain Glen) debate how to take Yunkai. House Frey joins with House Tully.”

Out of fear of ruining anything from what may end up being the craziest episode of the year, we’re not going to say anything else about this other than to watch it and watch it live; otherwise, stay off of Twitter. It will no doubt be spoiled for you, and you will wander around the rest of the day like a white walker. There’s nothing, especially if you are new to the world of George R.R. Martin, quite like experiencing something for the first time. It’s a feeling that we are lucky to have with “Mad Men” every week, and we even had a shot to have it with the “Doctor Who” finale this past weekend.
