‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Series boss talks Steven R. McQueen [spoiler]
At the end of Thursday night’s “The Vampire Diaries,” there were quite a few shockers that we’re sure you are still reeling over. What was one of them? Having an opportunity to find out that with the death of one character (in Bonnie) leads to the life of another (Jeremy).
Did you expect to have Stephen R. McQueen’s character brought back to life? While this move is definitely shocking, there are probably still at least a few characters out there who will appreciate it, especially a certain someone named Elena. Speaking to Zap2It about this final episode of the season, executive producer Julie Plec tries to make it clear as to why she wanted to ensure that Elena had a little bit more of a chance at happiness with a family member that she deeply cares about still around. However, she was also prepared for a critical backlash that comes with it:
“[Getting Jeremy back] resets her, in a way, where she can now get on with her life and live like the Elena that we know … Critically, you can look at something and go, ‘Well, that’s a take-back, it’s not fair,’ but emotionally, I think, it’s a positive. We might get hammered for it. We’ll see. I’m hoping people will be so glad to see our Elena pull her life back together, they’ll accept it.”
Considering that this is a fantasy series, we really don’t have much of a problem with this. What we are a little bit more confused about is the idea of Silas being Stefan’s doppelganger. Considering the fact that Silas already had an ability to change his appearance, is that really this special?
What do you think about Jeremy’s resurrection, and are you excited again about the new season? If you want to read our review for Thursday night’s episode, you can do so over at the link here.

Bonnie is dead but still in the show Jeremy was dead and gone I think this is brilliant and you never know another witch might come in (alive) and undo bonnies spell

I am super excited about jeremy being back. I was actually hoping he would come back. Didn’t know bonnie was going to die to do so but her character is still alive because of jeremys ability so its not th at big of a deal. But is she still going to have her power is the question. Her power is a big part of her character, hence: her being a witch and all.

I think the season finally was great! ANd I don’t think Bonnie is gone Jeremy can see her and we all know witches can make themselves known even from the other side. So I am looking forward to season 5

Why did you have to kill Bonnie off? I wanted Jeremy back, but not at the expense of Bonnie. Why not kill off Rebeka or Matt.
