‘True Blood’ season 6 trailer: War, politics, and a shirtless Alexander Skarsgard
While some of the recent “Waiting Sucks” videos have been rather nice in preparing for “True Blood” season 6, we still have to say that nothing compares at all to the new trailer that was just released by HBO. There is just about everything that you would want in 90 seconds talking about the show, while at the same time giving very little that actually explains what the overall story is going to be.
The basic outline is thanks to the Governor of Louisiana (who we know has a personal vendetta), the state is at war with its vampire population. For the first time really since the beginning of the show, humans are going to be the biggest threat that the likes of Tara, Pam, and Eric are really going to face. There are far more humans than vampires and they are slowly becoming well-versed in the ways to take down a set of fangs.
Of course, there is also going to be plenty still of what you expect from this show, including people in very little clothing. We will of course have some more gratuitous moments with a shirtless Alexander Skarsgard and Joe Manganiello, and we also have a new romantic arc for Sookie Stackhouse.
As for Bill Compton, perhaps the most intriguing part of the story is that he is not bound to walking around in that nasty Billith form that he was in during the final minutes of the “True Blood” season 5 finale, which is certainly a good thing for both him and the makeup team.
What do you think about this trailer, and is there any one part of the upcoming season that you are looking forward to the most? If you want to read some early scoop on some “wild” episodes ahead, be sure to check out the link here.
