MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 3 spoilers: Will Jake and Tamara survive?

As we learned during the one-hour premiere of “Awkward” on Tuesday night, there is clearly a new couple on the loose in Tamara and Jake … and they are so dramatic they may even make Matty and Jenna look pretty normal. Tamara freaks out when she does not hear from her boyfriend for three hours, and the two go through the full spectrum of emotions within the span of just a few short minutes.

One thing we can certainly say now based on actor Brett Davern’s comments to Entertainment Weekly is that Jake and Tamara certainly don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. However, this is not to say that the couple is going to be flying high on sunshine and rainbows throughout most of the weeks and months ahead:

“I’m rooting for them. …I hope the fans are rooting for them too … They are kind of that couple that has drama every episode but they have a fun banter to their arguing and they usually have a good make-out session at the end of it. It wouldn’t be our show without a good make-up make-out.”

One of the biggest challenges for these two as they attempt to adapt to everyday post-summer vacation world again may simply be trying to get accustomed to the fact that there are other things to do with their time. They have become so co-dependent over the past several months that they don’t know how to function … so what do they do when there is a key test that one of them really needs to study for?
