‘Bones’ season 8 spoilers: The dangerous path to the finale

Can you believe that there are only two episodes left to “Bones” this season? Thanks to the show ending in April this year, we’re having to brace ourselves for an ending a little bit quicker than we are typically accustomed to.

Hopefully, the show is going to still find a pretty substantial way to pack in the action leading up to the grand send-off and the return of Pelant. You can read some more details about that here; for now, we’re focusing instead on the episode airing on Monday night entitled “The Pathos in the Pathogens.” We’ve written before about how this is an episode that presents a very different sort of threat than what Booth and Brennan have encountered in the past: a biochemical one. This is a very different sort of terrorism than most of America is accustomed to, but luckily, the team at the Jeffersonian seems to be capable of handling just about everything.

So what is going to be the real challenge here for some of these characters? It’s not just about trying to find a way to survive, as you have to also do so quickly. Think of this episode as a sort of high-stakes race against time, where if they wait too long or make one careless mistake, it could mean the end of someone who is very beloved. After all, the promo below teases that there is going to be someone in huge jeopardy of losing it all in just a matter of a few short minutes.
