‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Who is Kurt Sutter trying to bring back?

Sons of AnarchyWe already know that both Jimmy Smits and Donal Logue are reprising their “Sons of Anarchy” roles of Nero and Lee Toric on the upcoming sixth season, could another recent season 5 guest star be next? If executive producer Kurt Sutter has his way, the answer here has to be “yes.”

As a part of his Q&A session with fans on Tuesday night, Sutter confirmed that he and the producers “trying very much to make [it] happen” that Dave Navarro returns for at least an episode as Primo, a member of the Byz Lats gang that has ties to Smits’ character. It would easily make sense for the character to return in some shape or form, and really it could down to a question of availability.

What’s Navarro also got going on this summer? In addition to his various gigs as a musician, he also is the host of Spike TV’s “Ink Master,” which just started up production and will be airing on the network later this year. “Sons of Anarchy” season 6 production begins in May, and we’re sure that so long as both parties remain interested in making the gig happen, they will find a way to work it out.

There are also some new characters with important roles to play in the new season, but for the time being Sutter is keeping a lid on the casting process for those. We expect there to be announcements in the coming weeks, but it could be longer depending on when these new faces arrive in Charming during the season.
