‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: Sheldon feels the pain of all TV fans
When you are passionate enough about a show to read stories about it online and even talk about it with your friends, it’s inevitable that if it gets canceled without a proper ending, you’re probably going to freak out about it. Take, for instance, how we felt when Fox pulled the rug out from under “Firefly” before the first season was over, and we came close to screaming in terror at NBC a few times over “Chuck” almost getting canceled time and time again.
So on an upcoming episode of “The Big Bang Theory” airing on Thursday, April 25, we are going to have an opportunity to see the manifestation of all of our feelings of despair via these moments courtesy of Dr. Sheldon Cooper. This episode is entitled “The Closure Alternative,” and the synopsis below suggests that there are also going to be some big things on the way for Raj’s relationship with Lucy:
“Sheldon feels lost after one of his favorite TV shows gets canceled too soon and Amy tries to help him get over his compulsive need for closure. Meanwhile, Raj discovers a secret about his new love interest, Lucy.”
It’s a shame that there are not really any TV shows out there right now potentially getting canceled that “The Big Bang Theory” would maybe really look at that fit into Sheldon’s wheelhouse, with “Cult” (possibly the closest thing) being somewhat of a stretch. The only reason we would even want a real show referenced here is because of what “Community” did to “the Cape.” (Heck, this is really the only reason that anyone even remembers “The Cape” at this point.)
