‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ season 5: What’s next for Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga

Real Housewives of New JerseyYou’ve been waiting all year long to find out some more details on the upcoming fifth season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” and they are finally starting to come out now … beginning with an official premiere date. Bravo has announced first and foremost that these famous ladies, who anchor one of the most-successful versions of the franchise, will return with more antics beginning on Monday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.

So do you want to get an idea a little while in advance as to what is coming up this season? This is where the network being very kind comes into play. While we don’t have an official trailer to share yet for the upcoming season (as this will likely arrive in the weeks ahead), the show was at least kind enough to share a full synopsis detailing some of the specific highlights that are going to come our way soon:

“Season 5 welcomes back the entire cast as Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo, and Kathy Wakile pick up right were last season’s contentious reunion left off. This season they are on a mission for redemption, scrambling to pick up the pieces of their fractured relationships. The women also find themselves shifting through rubble after Hurricane Sandy leaves much of the Jersey Shore in ruins, including some of their homes. A sense of communal rebuilding encourages Teresa to rise above the past drama with her brother and sister-in-law, Melissa, and mend her family for good. Jacqueline struggles to cope with her son’s autism diagnosis while tensions from her fallout with Teresa push her towards her breaking point. As Caroline fights to shed her reputation as a bully and Melissa strives to break free from the weight of her husband Joe’s family drama, Kathy attempts to step out of her husband’s shadow to find her own voice and launch her career.”

The scenes involving Hurricane Sandy in particular are going to be interesting in how the potentially present a more human quality to some of the ladies, which brings them back to level with most of their viewers. After all, we hear so much about petty drama and squabbling over little things that it will actually be interesting to see how Teresa, Caroline, and some of the other ladies handle real adversary that extends beyond just a few people on a reality show.

Do you think the new season sounds interesting, or really just more of the same? If you want to read some more early scoop on season 5, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
