You have to feel rather thrilled about the fact that “Castle” has made it to 100 episodes; and if nothing else, we certainly know that the folks working on the show and for ABC feel the same way. The group has proven time and time again to be a pretty tight-knit family, so isn’t it great to see all of them let loose and have a little bit of fun in commemoration of the honor?
In the video below, you can see what is a ceremonial cake-cutting that occurred earlier this year at the party for this episode, which is something that the majority of the shows get the opportunity to do once they reach this milestone. (After all, it is something that is so wonderful from a PR standpoint.) You can see executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe along with stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, and we have to say that this cake looks almost so delicious that we would be afraid to touch it (let alone eat it).
In addition to the video, ABC also released a “poster” earlier this week that certainly plays homage to some classic movies from the 1950s and 60s. This actually falls almost perfectly in line thematically with what the producers behind the show are hoping to do with this episode, as the plan is for it to be a tribute in some ways to such classic Alfred Hitchcock movies as “Rear Window,” as Fillion’s Rick ends up believing that he witnessed a murder while sitting inside after injuring his leg. We don’t know if he actually did or not, but this has all of the makings to be a great episode that provides plenty of laughs, and also a good mystery to boot.
