ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 to close things off with two-hour episode

RevengeWe were curious earlier this month why “Once Upon a Time” aired a new season 2 episode without “Revenge” backing it up, but as it turns out, we now have a very clear reason for it: ABC has rather specific plans to close about Emily Thorne’s story for the year with a rather special episode.

The network announced on Wednesday that on Sunday, May 12, the series will air a special two-hour season finale to go following the fairytale series, and in it we are hopefully going to see something that ties together the current plot of one Emily Thorne. Early speculation suggests that Nolan is going to play even more of a role than usual, but we are probably going to find out even more on that in the weeks and months ahead.

As for some other notable finale dates, the only other show to receive some sort of special airing is “Suburgatory,” which will be wrapping things up on April 17 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern with a special hour-long episode. (This move is to ensure that ABC can try out some new programming during the May sweeps.) The last program on the network to air their finale this spring is “Body of Proof,” which will end season 3 (and possibly the series) on May 28, one week after this season of “Dancing with the Stars” comes to its exciting conclusion.

Meanwhile, “The Neighbors” is the first show to wrap, as it will end in exactly one week. Will it be back? We’re still on the fence.

What are you hoping to see during the “Revenge” finale this year? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below, and you can also watch a preview for Sunday night’s episode over at the link here.
