TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2 spoilers: A new face in the J.R. Ewing mystery
It’s going to take the rest of the season of “Dallas” in order to find out just who is responsible for shooting J.R. Ewing, but in the episodes ahead we will at least be getting ever closer to putting together all of the pieces to the puzzle.
So who is one person that we are going to be meeting? According to a new report coming in from E! News, you can prepare to meet a new character known as Pedro Lavin. Sadly, there is not too much known about this character except for the following two pieces of information:
1. He will be involved in what happened to Larry Hagman’s character prior to the death that shook up the world of South Fork Ranch forever. However, this does not mean that he is guilty in any wrongdoing.
2. The character is described as being extremely serious and foreboding.
Following the funeral episode of J.R. last week, “Dallas” did dip slightly down in the ratings to a 0.8 in the 18-49 demographic along with 2.67 million viewers, and if we were being honest, we don’t know what this means for the future of the show beyond this year. These are not great overall numbers for TNT, but the series is still strong, and it brings a much different flavor to the network than just about anything else that they have. Specifically, what we’re talking about here is that of a strong serialized drama with history, and one that people will actually want to talk about after the fact.
What do you want to see happen for “Dallas” wraps up season 2? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below, and you can also read some more scoop pertaining to Sue Ellen over at the link here.

I never missed an episode of the old Dallas & each week of the new Dallas leaves me wanting more & can’t wait till the week is over & Monday is here again. Dallas is why I love Mondays now. Larry Hagman would be proud of the writers & where they are taking the characters. True fans should continue watching, I’m sure JR would want it that way.

Yes, it is a well written show and should be picked up for season 3. Unlike 1978…it’s fighting against hundreds of channels to compete. Our family loved it back then and are sticking with it today.
