‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: Major relationship scoop ahead!

“The Big Bang Theory” cast does not get many opportunities to take part in panel discussions throughout the year, but on Wednesday night the entire group sat down for what ultimately became a rather interesting discussion at PaleyFest. It was there that we learned quite a bit about all of the characters, what sort of storylines could be ahead for them, and about the fact that the season 6 finale is probably going to be much smaller in scale than the wedding between Howard and Bernadette at the end of season 5.

 

Speaking to TV Guide first and foremost, Chuck Lorre says that we are going to see more of Kate Micucci’s character of Lucy, and she will ultimately end up being a part of the season’s endgame. Meanwhile, Leonard and Penny will continue to work on their relationship, but it is unlikely that either one of them will be taking things to another level this year.

While Sheldon and Amy are going to continue being Sheldon and Amy, Simon Helberg explained that one of the biggest events of the entire season is actually going to take place tonight, when Howard comes to look again at a letter from his long-absent father that could change his life in a pretty significant way:

“It’s a very emotional topic for him. It’s something that he’s been closed off from. Obviously he hasn’t opened the letter since it came when he was 18. There’s a lot of pent-up, conflicting feelings that are poetically opened just as the letter is opened.”
