‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6, episode 19 preview: A prelude to a dinner party

Fancy meals seem to be the name of the game for Thursday night’s new “Big Bang Theory” season 6 episode, at least judging by the sneak peek that has just been uploaded for Thursday night’s new episode. It looks like we will be seeing some fancy eating, but also a pretty fancy arrow of insults tossed around from one character to the next.

For example, the sneak below features Raj trying to give Bernadette a compliment on her cooking … only to be told moments later that he is actually not complimenting her on anything, since he’s eating the takeout that Sheldon brought to the event. Then, Sheldon precedes to completely unleash a barrage of insults upon Howard about his wardrobe.

There’s really nothing in this clip that is altogether substantial, and we suspect that this may actually be a sort of reflection on the episode as a whole. When you remember that we are looking at an installment airing in the middle of March, and this is hardly the time of the year that any popular comedy series wants to start opening the doors on some of its biggest secrets or noteworthy stories. (They are by and large saving these for the May sweeps, or some other time when the ratings bump and the buzz are greatly appreciated.) This is ultimately a pretty light month as far as new episodes of the show go, but once again the reason for that is so that the show can ensure that there will be something new for it to show off come May.
