ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: Halloween in late March

RevengeWell, it turns out that “Community” is not the only show in 2013 to air a Halloween episode at a rather unusual time. However, the difference between this show and what “Revenge” is currently up to is rather simple: the writers over at the NBC comedy were actually intending on their episode airing around October 31, and this is clearly not the case with this series, which had this whole ordeal planned out long in advance.

In the timeline of the show, we are gearing up for the spookiest holiday of the year, and it will officially arrive for the March 31 episode appropriately entitled “Masquerade.” (You have to love the double-meaning there already, right? ABC recently unveiled the official synopsis for the hour, and it appears already as though a few characters in particular are going to be in for a rather tough time:

“Hamptonites celebrate Halloween with a glamorous masquerade ball hosted by the Graysons, which is a perfect setting for Emily to drag out Victoria’s skeletons. Jack steps up his revenge plan and finds an unexpected ally, and Aiden makes a bold move with a gruesome conclusion.”

Obviously the two things that are the most intriguing straight out of the gate here is that Emily Thorne is no longer going to be the only person seeking vengeance against those who have wronged her, and the word “gruesome” is never good any time you hear it, regardless of if it is in a press release or somewhere else entirely.

Do you think that a Halloween-themed episode of “Revenge” could lead ot a great deal of soapy fun? We want to hear some of your thoughts with a comment below, and you can also watch a preview for Sunday night’s all-new episode over at the link here.
