MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 3: Check out the first promo!

“Awkward” fans, the wait is almost over: Jenna Hamilton will be back to some of her old exploits before you even know it.

MTV released the first promo for the third season of the show on Tuesday, with the major tease being that new episodes will officially kick off in April. While the clip does at least give you a sense of some of the relationships and personalities of the characters, there’s no actual episode footage in here. Instead, what we have here is the show’s interpretation of high school picture day, otherwise known appropriately as one of the most awkward days of the year. Everyone wants to leave a good impression since these photos are going to last forever, but actually getting a picture that you are happy with is an impossible task when a pushy photographer is forcing you to go through them at the speed of light.

What we can tell you about the new season right now is fairly simple: while you would think that Jenna would be happy now that she has made the decision to be with Matty, things are not exactly working out like that. How so? She’s going to find herself listless and regretful of some of the recent decisions that she’s made, and it could lead to her finding herself in some more tricky situations. (You would think that she would know how to avoid these sort of problems at this point, right?)
