ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: Who’s on the scene now?

Is Amanda Clarke’s death going to be the last tragic circumstance on “Revenge” season 2? If you think that the answer to this question is “yes,” then it may do you some good to have your head examined at some point. This is a show that revels in tragedy, and with that in mind, it is almost a given that there is going to be something else rather sad that unfolds in the near future.

According to a new report from E! News, the show is currently casting someone to play an NYPD detective (which is interesting enough given that the show is set in the Hamptons), and they will be around for just one episode. What is there to investigate? Oh, we can county plenty of things in between Amanda’s death, some of Conrad’s business dealings, or the fact that there is a woman living under everyone’s nose in Emily Thorne who is not exactly who she claims to be.

The show’s return in mid-March will focus largely on the immediate aftermath to Amanda’s passing, and Emily will have to figure out what her next move is. Don’t expect it to be kind, though, and she is likely to try to hit back the people who hurt her by going for something that they care about very deeply. (After all, she knows the pain that can result from this better than anyone.)
