‘New Girl’ season 2 spoilers: Is Jess about to reveal her feelings for Nick?

For much of the past couple of episodes, “New Girl” season 2 has been in a little bit of a holding pattern when it comes to the Nick / Jess relationship. We know that the two kissed, and that Nick has tried to act as though it meant nothing and that he regrets doing it. But are any of these statements going to cause Jess to wipe her hands clean of the entire situation? On the contrary.

Following Tuesday night’s new episode, the show will not return to Fox until March 12 with an episode bearing the title “Guys Night.” Based on the synopsis  below, it certainly sounds like Jess has some unresolved feelings that she wants to deal with … but Nick may be a little bit busy trying to rope a new woman in his life:

“Jess comes to a conclusion about her romantic feelings for Nick and she struggles to tell him – until she’s hopped up on pain medication. But after admitting her feelings, she finds out he may have been keeping something from her. Meanwhile, Schmidt becomes obsessed with buying a fish, which Winston sees as a metaphor for Schmidt’s unresolved feelings toward Cece and Nick plans a bar promotion to impress the bar owner (guest star Odette Annable).”

This episode marks the return of Annable to comedy after previously starring in the first season of the Fox show “Breaking In,” and she followed that up by appearing in the final season of “House.” The sad news about this episode is that there are only four new half-hours following it up, and hopefully by the time the finale rolls around we will know just where this Nick / Jess relationship stands.
