NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 4: Shakira talks coaching, messing with Blake Shelton
With the ratings for NBC down across the board right now, we have a feeling that network head Robert Greenblatt is probably off somewhere praying for a time machine to take him forward to March 25. Why? This is when the juggernaut known as “The Voice” will be coming back on the air, and it will be doing so with a pair of new coaches in Shakira and Usher that will be bringing something a little bit different than both Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green did.
One thing that is immediately apparently in watching the “She-Wolf” singer speak out below is that she still understands that “The Voice” is entertainment first and foremost, and she tries to have a good time messing with Adam Levine, Blake Sheldon, and the other coaches. One such example is when she proclaims herself to be the “most country” out of any of the coaches on the panel, which is pretty hilarious considering that Blake Shelton is sitting there with his jaw on the floor.
Shakira also looks like she will be someone who is very competitive, and from the network standpoint she could bring in a whole new sort of viewer to the show. While Aguilera has a Latin following, it’s not on the same level as this particular superstar. She seems to be less polarizing of a coach, and will hopefully at times give feedback that is a little less of a disaster zone that what we saw during the Christina vs. Adam Levine feud back during season 2.
Based on just this video below, do you think that Shakira could end up being a good coach for “The Voice” season 4? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below, and you can check out another clip featuring the new coaches over at the link here.

I think she is gonna be an awesome coach. Plus, is gonna be hillarious to see sweet Shakira become a tiger against the other judges. Can’t wait!!
