‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Is there hope left for Klaus and Caroline?

Claus and CarolineEver since the “Vampire Diaries” spin-off “The Originals” was first announced, there were a multitude of questions that started to pop up, whether it be the future of such characters as Rebekah, or the idea that Joseph Morgan’s Klaus moving to New Orleans would lead to the end of the character’s hopes at a love connection with Caroline. After all, things already look pretty bad for the two after he murdered Tyler’s hybrid army, and even before that he was more interested in her than the other way around.

However, Morgan cautions E! News in a new interview that Klaroline (as the shippers like to refer to them) are not necessary over and done with just because “The Originals” could be starting up based on the success of its April 25 backdoor pilot. As a matter of fact, the actor says that it is still very feasible that they could spend some time together:

“There are going to be characters that cross over between the two worlds. The whole world is going to be richer … It would imagine all the fans that have been so generous to me are going to want to see what happens with Caroline…I feel like I owe it to the fans for there to be some resolve and for her to possibly turn up in New Orleans at some point. I know there’s already talks about different characters that can come over to New Orleans and then go back.”

It was confirmed earlier this week that while much of the pilot is going to actually film within the Big Easy to make use of locations, the series itself will continue to be shot in Atlanta in order to take advantage of the crossover potential between one show and the other. Plus, it keeps executive producer Julie Plec from having to travel between two different states to work on her shows.

What do you think about the idea of Caroline jumping around to both shows? We want to hear some of your thoughts below!
