‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev’s new scene
Are Stefan and Elena going to be getting back together on “The Vampire Diaries” season 4? Don’t count on it happening anytime soon. However, the two do seem at least to be getting back to some sort of a friendly relationship, based on the new sneak peek that we have to share for Thursday night’s new episode “Down the Rabbit Hole.”
While working together in order to find the cure, Nina Dobrev’s character learns that her ex-boyfriend (played by Paul Wesley) has also been interested in finding it for himself, and the two discover that there is a little bit more common ground between the two of them that they thought … and perhaps even more than what Elena shares with Damon at the moment. The problem for Damon is that unfortunately, he’s too busy being captive to really offer up too much of an opinion one way or the other.
While it is very nice to see Stefan refer to Elena as a “friend,” the nicest thing that he has really said about her ever since she first got together with Damon to begin with. While this is great news for them, there is one person in the distance while at the island that does not seem even remotely pleased about it: Rebekah. She has been more or less “with” Stefan for much of the past several weeks, and she surely does not want to see someone else come between what she and him are planning at the moment.

I am team Stefan and Elena. For one Elena never gave up on Stefan in season 3 and that kinda love just doesn’t die they cannot do that. Yes Damon is amazing and whatever but like Rose said in season 3 he can either be the best thing or the worse thing for her… in season 4 that has proven to be the worse she has become a different person even killed an innocent waitress to prove a point. That is not Elena at all. Vampire or not. Stefan loves Elena and they need to keep it that way.

I think Stefan and Elena should be together because he is her one true love. I didn’t watch this show when it first came on but started watching on Netflix. The love, respect and devotion between Stefan and Elena is what kept me watching. They have so much chemistry together. Ian/Nina may be a real couple but I have never felt the same chemistry between Damon and Elena. I always like Damon as a friend/enemy to Elena. I would rather see Damon and Stefan become brothers/friends again. Stefan isn’t in love w/ Rebekah, she is a rebound girl. He may have feelings for her but he met her when he was an emotionless ripper who feed & killed innocent humans for pleasure. He is a better person w/ Elena and I really don’t care what happens to Rebekah

i think stefan and elena should end up together and that damon should be with rebeckah i loved stefan and elena together since the begining there love is so epic but i also highly doubt anyone is going to take cure..

Stefan and Elena HAVE to end up together. They are what inspires teens and practically everyone that there is true love out there for everyone. They are sooo epic. I love them together. This season seriously is boring. All the stuff that kept you on the edge of your seat in the first three seasons are gone. Stefan and Elena’s love kept the show interesting. They are the reason I started watching the show.

I hate that Damon has to change to be with Elena.
Damon DOES NOT want to be human. Sure he misses it.
Loving Elena does not mean he has to sacrifice his own happiness to be with her.
What good is he to her if he can’t protect her from Klaus when she turns human?
Elena has this idea in her head that her current boyfriend has to do everything she wants and always make her happy.
But Damon isn’t have any of that. He’s not Stefan.

I LOVE STEFAN. But I hope he doesn’t let Elena use this “friendshp” against him the way she uses Matt and every man to keep doing her dirty work.
She chose Damon, so move on and stop leading Stefan on again.
Stelena HAD an epic love story.
I think Damon is much more fun single too. I hope he breaks up with Elena.
I’d go for a Stefan/Rebekah and Damon/Bonnie.

I’m so happy Stefan told her the cure has nothing to do with her.
He wants it for himself. It’s about time Stefan put himself first.
I’m okay with a friendship, but Elena does NOT deserve Stefan as a boyfriend.
It’s cute that Rebekah is jealous.

Stefan and Elena have to end up together. They’re each others epic love. Not to mention Damon’s character is much more fun and the show is much more interesting when he isn’t worried about playing the good guy or what Elena will think. He said it best in last week’s episode, ” that’s Stefan not him.”

I Loved the show since the beginning. But I think it should be Damon n Elana, Stephen n Rebecca, n Claus n Carolyn It would give it a good twist plus werewolve boy getting boring, he should go off deep end spice it up.

As a steady 3 season watcher of the show, when Elena became a vampire the show got boring for me. Keeping her human always kept you on the edge week to week. Too much fiction going on. For me the series has reached it’s peek and is starting to spiral.

The start of a reconciliation between Stefan and Elena sucks big-time. It seems that it is all about the brothers taking the cure or not. I agree with so many people that the writing of episode 13 was poor when Damon stated he didn’t want to be human. Only a little while ago he had an existential crisis and stated that he missed being human so much. He would do anything to be with Elena – even become human again and I just don’t buy his “being human sucks” attitude. He genuinely loves Elena and suddenly he doesn’t want to be with her – it just doesn’t make sense. Also, Elena being sired to him makes her want to please him and make him happy -.she seems to be arguing with him more again: not sire-bondish at all. If it is going to be all hearts and flowers between Elena and Stefan – I will find it very hard to continue watching – we have been over this ground before for the past three seasons and I wanted the writers to explore the Damon/Elena releationship, not stop it just as it begins with the wretched sire bond. I know they have to extend the life of the love triangle BUT at least let us have moments of love between Delena, even a look, a touch, an embrace which might help to keep the Delena fans interested (after all we have watched three seasons of Stelena).
