It seems like we have been writing about the launch of “Big Brother Canada” for years now … but that may also be due to the fact that we are so pumped up for it to start that it is making time start to slow down.
Based on the latest promo released from the show entitled “Cabin Fever,” we know even more that the show is trying to pump up the fact that during the waning days of winter, complete strangers are going to be trapped together indoors with almost nothing to do other than spend time with each other. For those of you who are extensive live-feed viewers, you know already what we are talking about here: while the idea of staying around in a house for three months without having to really work sounds fun, there’s very few reality shows that are as emotionally draining. There’s no contact with the outside world, very little to do, and if everyone in the house dislikes you, you’re in for a miserable time.
One thing we’re a little more sure about right now is that our time will not be miserable at all. Slice has put a great deal of effort into this, and they have a host in Arisa Cox who is sympathetic to the plight of the reality show contestant as a former one herself on “The Lofters.” Plus, they’re using the American format rather than the British one, which to us is a very good thing since it yields the opportunity for much more in the way of strategy talk.
