‘Saturday Night Live’: Justin Bieber fans, weather cause change to standby tickets
The folks over at “Saturday Night Live” showed a little bit of a charitable side on Friday night … mostly because they didn’t want more young people to park themselves outside in the cold following a blizzard for no good reason. Traditionally, the hit NBC sketch show opts to give out standby tickets to their tapings on Saturday morning; however, they made a change in protocol for Justin Bieber’s show this weekend and handed them out as a part of that aforementioned nice gesture.
Fans have been waiting outside of the show’s studio for days, which led to producers and Bieber sending out pizza for them to enjoy. It seems a little bit crazy for folks to wait this long and in these conditions to get into the show, but let’s just ask this question: was there anyone at some point in your life that you would have done this for? If the host was Robin Williams, and we knew that we would get a ticket out of it, we’d consider braving the conditions.
Bieber’s show is certainly one of the most-anticipated of the year, but it is also among the most polarizing. Unless you are a fan of the singer, it may be something that you are not looking forward to as much given that he is one of those “love him or hate him” entertainers. We’re mostly just looking to see whether or not he is brave enough to truly embody some silly characters, and if he will be willing to actually make fun of such things as his relationship, some past rumors about drug use, or the fact that he can’t go anywhere without thirty screaming girls behind him.
