‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: An Ian Somerhalder – Paul Wesley confrontation
Do you love watching Salvatore brother confrontations on “The Vampire Diaries”? If you answer this question with a “yes,” then we have a feeling that you are really going to love the new episode “Stand By Me” airing a little bit later this month. You can check out the official synopsis for this hour here, as it reveals that (spoiler alert!) there are going to be a few characters who are still stuck on the island in Nova Scotia, where we are going to see for the first time on Thursday night with “Into the Wild.”
So what is going to be the problem for Damon and Stefan this time around? It is hard to say, mostly because the story for Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley’s characters tend to change radically on a weekly basis. After all, who would have predicted at the start of the season that Elena and Damon would be hooking up now, and Stefan would be spending so much time with Rebekah?
At the moment, the easy assumption is that this Damon vs. Stefan showdown revolves very much around the cure … but who knows? Since the two are not throwing punches, maybe they are just having a very serious conversation that causes Damon’s face to quiver like this. Either way, you better expect this to be a pretty significant episode to the future of the show considering how it is airing during that key network “sweeps” period where they like to place most of their largest shockers.
