‘Supernatural’ season 8, episode 13 preview: Golems! Nazis! Insanity!

SupernaturalJust when you thought that “Supernatural” was getting somewhat emotional with an episode that took a deeper look into the Winchester family mythology, they introduce an episode where the main characters are hunting Nazi necromancers. That’s right: “Everybody Hates Hitler” is almost here.

There is not really much of an explanation for a plot here, so we’re really not even going to bother trying to describe the story: there are giant golems running around, undead Nazis, and gory makeup galore. Hopefully, we will have something else in here to go along with all of the action. Will we get a deeper look at the new den formerly belonging to the Men of Letters? We hope so, especially since executive producer Jeremy Carver has already been hyping up one of the few examples of a home base Sam and Dean have really had ever since the beginning of the show.

Check out the full synopsis for the hour below:

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the death of Rabbi Bass (guest star Hal Linden, “Barney Miller”), who spontaneously combusted. The case becomes ever more confusing when they learn that the Rabbi was researching Nazi Necromancers. Sam and Dean are attacked by a Golem (guest star John DeSantis) who turns out to belong to the Rabbi’s grandson, Aaron (Adam Rose). The key to the case lies with the Golem but Aaron doesn’t know how to control him, which leaves everyone in danger.”

Sadly, there is no word on either Castiel or Kevin turning up here, but don’t worry: we will be seeing at least one of them in the “Trial and Error” episode airing the following week.

Do you think this episode is going to be just strictly fun, or do you imagine that there could be something else in here that furthers along the main story? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can also read the most-recent episode review over at the link here.
