‘Girls’ season 2, episode 3 preview: Hannah goes freelance
“Girls” has taken Hannah Horvath into some interesting places over the course of season 2 thus far, and this is going to continue based on the first preview that we have seen for Sunday night’s new episode. Why? It involves yet another job opportunity for her, and they are requiring her to not only think outside of the box, but feasibly outside of the entire room.
In the clip below, Hannah is conducting some sort of interview to do freelance writing work with a publication, and they have some interesting suggestions for articles that she should do … including pieces on threesomes and doing large amounts of heavy drugs and promptly writing about it. Suffice it to say, she is not necessarily so keen on venturing this far out of her comfort zone, especially since she is someone who barely ever seems willing to even tiptoe out of it.
While this is not featured in this clip, we can tell you that this episode is the one where “Girls” is really going to start getting crazy this season. Events from the first two weeks are going to start coming to a head, and there will also be more skin shown off than in either of the first two episodes (for those of you who are into that sort of thing). Overall, consider this be a strong statement as to why the series deserved to win the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series over perennial favorite “Modern Family.” It’s daring, it’s surprising, and it is definitely weird.
In case you have not heard, “Girls” has already been renewed for a 12-episode third season, and you can read more about it from Lena Dunham herself over at the link here.
