ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5, episode 12 preview: First look at ‘Death Gone Crazy’
“Castle” is really running the gamut of episodes loosely inspired by real-life franchises this season. First, we had an installment that was really just based on both “Firefly” and Comic-Con to a certain extent; now, the show is taking on a certain lewd franchise owned by Joe Francis.
Next week’s new episode (entitled “Death Gone Crazy”) is going to take our characters into the adult business about as much as a network show can, and you can almost bet that they are going to find out more than just a few unseemly things in the process. Castle is going to have plenty of “questions” about men dancing around in underpants, there will be undergarments used as murder weapons, and Esposito is going to be hit on by a bodyguard played by Kelly Hu, who is coming over here following a stint on “Arrow.”
Let’s hope that there are some moments this week that start to bring up the excitement level a little bit more among the “Castle” faithful, especially since “Under the Influence” this week was polarizing at best. While we actually felt as though it was a nice self-contained mystery with some great moments for Jon Huertas, there is no doubt that it was a self-contained hour not meant to progress forward Castle, Beckett, or any of the main characters. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic do need a break sometimes, and this episode allowed for them to have a little bit of room to breathe while Huertas carried some more of the emotional scenes.
Are you excited for this episode? If you want some early scoop about the “Castle” episode that will be largely about Valentine’s Day, all you have to do is hit up the story here.
