ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Take a look into ‘Under the Influence’

After an episode of “Castle” season 5 on Monday that really delved deeper into the relationship between Rick and Kate, it looks as though we are on the cusp this coming week of an installment that really seems to be more about the case … or at least about a story that the show is not willing to give completely away just yet.

This episode is entitled “Under the Influence,” and it is going to be largely about a murder that takes place within the complicated circles of the New York City club scene. However, we know already that there is going to be so much more happening over the course of the hour. Expect this episode to be more about Esposito in many ways than it is even about Castle or Beckett, as we look to learn some about his childhood courtesy of someone who has a little bit of a troubled childhood.

Honestly, we wish as though the first promo showcased a little bit of what this story for Jon Huertas’ character is going to be rather than just the superficial outline of the case. After all, finding out about the New York club scene is something that is hardly new to the crime drama genre, but learning something about one of the show’s most-complicated characters is always fun. After all, it was only a few episodes ago that we first heard Esposito sing for the first time during “Swan Song.”
