‘The Biggest Loser’ review: A tough time to be Jillian Michaels

The Biggest LoserWhen Jillian Michaels made it clear that she was coming back to “The Biggest Loser” for another season, she probably never imagined that it would work out quite like this. Two weeks into the competition, and 60% of her entire team is now gone. Granted, one of them in Nikki was someone who quit, but you have to think that her actions have also cost someone else in the house who really actually wanted to be there, and no has to be on the outside looking in.

The other unfortunate part of this week’s episode was how continued to penalize the person who lost the smallest percentage of weight on a team, rather than just the person who lost the least amount overall. Thanks to this, Jeff on Bob Harper’s team was actually saved despite not losing any weight at all (which is seemingly an effect of him dropping a massive 29 pounds last time). Meanwhile, Nathan was sent home despite losing five pounds … which leaves Danni and Pam as the only remaining members of her team. Will they be able to pull it out? They seem to be hard workers, which means that she could have a shot with them yet.

As for the twist regarding children working out in the kitchen this year, we admittedly rather like it still: they bring a certain tenderness to the show, whcih is welcome when we spent most of the rest of the episode listening to Jillian yell at people for motivation (even if her heart is in the right place).

What did you think about this epsiode, and where do you think that the show is going to go from here? If you want to hear some more “Biggest Loser” coverage, be sure to head on over to the link here.
