‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Do Damian McGinty, Dot Jones appear in ‘Sadie Hawkins’?
For those of you who are excited about the return of “Glee” season 4 to TV on Thursday, January 24, we have another reason for you to potentially smile: an appearance of some more familiar faces for the “Sadie Hawkins” episode.
We just got our hands on the official press release for the episode, and one name listed on the guest cast caught our eye right away: Damian McGinty. Is Rory Flanagan really back? This surprised us mostly in that we assumed that the Christmas special was just a one-off cameo to please Rory fans, since the character still has yet to really be addressed at all in the present story of the show. However, he would not be listed here if he was absent from the episode, so possibly we’ll either get an update on what the exchange student is up to or (gasp) a proper return to McKinley High. McGinty was originally scrubbed from the cast over the summer, as the writers were running out of ideas for the character; however, they did always leave the door open for Rory to return.
As for some other memorable characters, we will once again see Dot-Marie Jones in action as Coach Beiste for the episode, along with Vanessa Lengies as Sugar “Please Give Me a Storyline” Motta, Lauren Potter as Becky Jason, and the previously-reported return of Ashley Fink as Lauren Zizes. We do know already that Fink is only going to be around for this episode, and will not be back in New Directions anytime soon.
Why do you think McGinty could be turning up on “Glee” this time around? We want to hear your thoughts below, and you can also view some more season 4 scoop pertaining to Lea Michele and Chris Colfer here.

None of the subsequent info released mention Damian or Dot Jones. Will assume at this point that this is just another in a long line of insulting false trails left by the Glee producers to induce McGinty’s fans to watch this otherwise very missable show.

Fox press releases are frequently incorrect when it comes to cast. Jayma Mays is listed as a regular when she is a guest star. Virtually every one last year listed Mike O’Malley as a regular. And this one has no mention of Oliver Keiran-Jones as Adam.
It’s conceivable he’s seen in some kind of flashback. It’s extremely unlikely he’s making a real return to the show.

This would be a really welcome wish come true. He needs a good storyline and some opportunities to sing more upbeat music. He is quite a talent and has been poorly utilized in the past. Am pretty sure the viewership would increase just for him and for Dot Jones who is always worth watching. These additions would bring me back as a viewer.

Well, if Sugar’s back, could be Rory’s back in a nanosecond Sadie Hawkins cameo moment. Since Glee couldn’t be bothered to let Damian sing on the Christmas episode, doubt this next one will be worth watching. Am mindful that Glee has issued false info re Damian’s return before, so will treat this with a grain of salt, record the episode and zip through it to see if Damian actually appears in the episode or not. Will be shocked if it’s much of a part if he does indeed appear. Still, any appearance by him or Dot Jones will be less boring than the rest of the show. They’re both great.
