‘Girls’ season 2 spoilers: Want to know more on ‘Community’s’ Donald Glover?
It’s no secret at this point that “Community” star (and master of all things entertaining) Donald Glover is going to be making an appearance on the second season of “Girls” as a new boyfriend for Lena Dunham’s character of Hannah. However, what has been a little bit unclear until now is just what sort of character he is.
According to a new report from Zap2It, we first of all know that his name is Sandy, and he is a Republican who, along with Patrick Wilson, is going to be one of Hannah’s two new love interests this year including the returning Adam. The problem with Sandy is that he is somebody that will end up exposing many of Hannah’s flaws, including her slanted views on both politics and race that have yet to be seen on the show. (In the case of the latter, that just may be because the show strangely had almost no diversity at all in season 1.)
We don’t know how many episodes Glover had an opportunity to film, largely because he also has “Community” season 4 to worry about along with a thriving music career as rapper childish Gambino. There are also whispers that he is working on a new pilot for NBC in the event that “Community” is canceled; and if it lasts, his solo project will probably be shelved for a later date.
Are you excited to see what Donald is going to bring to this show, or are you just pumped in general for “Girls” to be back? In case you haven’t heard already, “Girls” season 2 premieres on HBO Sunday night, and if you want to watch the some of the characters share their New Year’s resolutions, be sure to head over to the link here.
