NBC’s ‘The Voice’ winner Cassadee Pope performs on New Year’s Eve show
Cassadee Pope had an opportunity to ring in 2013 in a pretty big way on New Year’s Eve Monday night: not only did she have an opportunity to appear on NBC’s “New Year’s Eve” special with Carson Daly just mere weeks after winning season 3 of “The Voice,” but she also had a chance to give a performance live in front of millions of people.
So how did she sound? As it turns out, they call the show “The Voice” for a reason. Despite having to combat some things as nerves and extremely cold temperatures, she gave a performance that was really pretty close to pitch-perfect while also bundled up in earmuffs in a pretty heavy jacket. The lucky news for Cassadee is that the Florida native had a pretty nice night in which to perform; temperatures were not as low as they have been in years past, and there was also no rain or snow spoiling the part.
Cassadee was a part of a lineup for New Year’s Eve that included the likes of many other artists, including Train (singing “Imagine”), and all sorts of video highlights played by NBC of the year that has transpired. This included of course the Summer Olympics in London, the passing of Whitney Houston, and some other great events in news and entertainment.
So when will we be seeing a performance from Cassadee again moving forward? That much is still unclear, as she is probably going to go off now and begin work on her debut album, which is hopefully going to launch in 2013 so that she can perform a lead single during a future episode of “The Voice.” As for whether or not she’ll have a track ready for season 4 in the spring, that is going to be quite a challenge.
