‘The X Factor’ UK: Watch James Arthur’s ‘Impossible’ music video
James Arthur has made quite a journey over the past few months thanks to “The X Factor” UK, and now much of it has been captured within the singer’s first music video as a major recording artist in “Impossible.” The song has already become one of the most-successful opening-week winners’ single in the history of the British talent competition, and the hope now is that he will be able to take some of this success and prolong it courtesy of the clip below.
Sadly, the video is only available to YouTube users in the UK (a move suggesting that a separate international launch could be coming), and as we said, it is largely just clips of his “X Factor” story beginning with the audition and leading up all the way to him winning the grand prize at the end of the show. There is not really time for him to do anything more substantial than this, at least if Simon Cowell and company want to get the track fully promoted before the holidays.
James has already toured a great deal of Britain in the past few weeks in an effort to get the song out there, and by and large this strategy is working. After getting a little bit of rest over the holidays, the plan for him in 2013 is to start things off with the show’s official tour, and then have an opportunity to dive into recording the disc. We know that everyone would love to see it out this fall, mostly so that he will be able to perform a lead single on the show and boost sales even further.
