ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Who’s joining ‘Real Housewives’ episode now?

As you may recall when we announced the joyous news that Gina Torres was going to be reuniting with her former “Firefly” co-star Nathan Fillion for an upcoming episode of “Castle” season 5, the episode featuring her is going to revolve around a reality show that will be very reminiscent of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise. Now, we know just who one of her “co-stars” during the episode is going to be.

According to a new report from TV Guide, former “NYPD Blue” star Gail O’Grady is making an appearance on the show in the role of Margo Cowan, who is one of the ladies on the fictional show “The Wives of Wall Street” about powerful women who like to mix business with pleasure and plenty of drama. The episode itself is entitled “Reality Star Struck,” and it should be one of the most-entertaining installments of the entire franchise when it ultimately airs so long as it lives up to the hype.

This is far from the first time that “Castle” has delved into the world TV, as they have already had episodes inspired in part by “Dancing with the Stars,” late-night talk shows, and even the local news. It’s always a smart move to integrate something that is relevant to pop culture into the show, especially since it draws in some buzz from entertainment talk shows, which will hopefully lead to some more viewers aged 18-49 that the show so desperately needs.
