ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: One Christmas surprise

The special holiday episode of “Castle” entitled “Secret Santa” is now just a matter of a few days away; and just in case you are hoping to get into the holiday season a little bit early, we have a few more details now worth sharing when it comes to just some of what you can expect to transpire over the course of the hour.

If you have seen a number of episodes over the course of season 5, you can probably see the first part of this coming: there will be some fun moments from Castle and Beckett (this time involving the holidays), some moments that make you worry over their relationship, and also someone wearing a racy costume a la the Comic-Con-inspired episode “The Final Frontier” from earlier on during season 5. Will their relationship be okay by the end of this? We won’t say for certain, but it would be an awfully cruel move for show executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe to break the pair up just before the start of the holidays.

Just in case you are looking for another source of Christmas cheer from the episode, you are actually going to find it courtesy of a rather unusual source: Victoria Gates. That’s right: the Captain is somehow going to be involved in a surprising but exciting story over the course of the hour. Everyone will get involved in the action in some shape or form, but we have a feeling that she will be the one that most fans will be talking about (save for the primary couple, of course) by the end of the hour.
