‘Supernatural’ season 8 spoilers: The Benny problem
Can you fathom that there are only two more “Supernatural” season 8 episodes coming up this year? Sadly, ’tis the truth, as following the cartoon-themed installment next week featuring Castiel’s transition into a hunter, we just have the December 5 episode to go until the CW show takes a well-deserve rest until the new year.
Luckily, it does look as though showrunner Jeremy Carver is making certain that even though the show is saying goodbye, it is doing so with the biggest bang that it can. After all, how else would you describe a title that is as epic as “Citizen Fang”? This episode is going to delve deeply into the relationship between Sam and Benny, and whether or not Ty Olsson’s character is really as noble or as trustworthy as Dean thinks he is.
Basically, here’s the run-down of what we know right now per The CW: Sam is going to suspect Benny of committing murder, but in the end it will be Dean who manages to come to the guy’s defense. But does he really feel that way, or is he really just preferring to take Benny out himself? This is the question worth asking at the moment, since the photo to the left does show Dean hiding a knife behind his back. Then again, would Benny really be so dumb as to fall for something like that here? The whole “I’ve got something you can’t see” shtick really seems a bit too sophisticated for a vampire.
For Castiel fans, there may not be much (if any) of Misha Collins this week. We’ve yet to see him in any promotional photos, and that is typically a strong indicator.
What do you want to see happen during this chunk of “Supernatural” season 8?

I like benny and dean’s friendship and the way dean trusts on benny. So i think sam should give benny a chance and i think he will also start to like benny eventually because benny is really likable. And if sam chopped benny’s head on this episode then dean will be furious so am i. So i just want everything goes well and benny’s head stay intact!

I would like to see less of Dean being right and Sam being wrong. I don’t like the way that they have written Sam for the last few seasons. Dean’s friendship with Benny strikes me as familiar. I think it was when Sam was hanging out with Ruby because he thought she could help him save Dean. We all know how that turned out don’t we. Sam was made out to be the bad guy for it. If Benny turns out to be a bad guy all we’ll get is “poor Dean. He was tricked into believing that he was a good person.” Well that didn’t work for Sam I don’t think that should work for Dean.

What show is loli watching? Dean is ALWAYS right. Sam is the one they show being wrong.

So, maybe, for once, Dean will be wrong … Sam has been wrong, Cas has been wrong so maybe it’s time for Dean and maybe he’ll learn to be a little more understanding and less righteous. Don’t get me wrong, Dean is awesome but every once in a while I’m like, get off your high horse!

Actually, it’s Dean that’s always been written as being right, not Sam. Sam is always the bad brother.

I just want Dean to be right for once and his instincts and intelligence to be validated not dismissed as usual just so Sam can be the super smart & invincible one that we should all forgive and never question. I know that sounds mean but I’ve always loved both brothers. However the way Sam has been written in the last few seasons is really getting on my last nerve.

We’re getting 2 more seasons. They said ‘It all depends on the fans’ and I’d be damned if the fandom would screw this up

Sounds interesting, just taking issue with your mention of the series saying goodbye. We’ve never been told that this is the last season. In fact it’s looking like there will be at least another one if not two. And the ratings have picked up from last year. So hoping for a couple more. My only request is that they stick with what made the series amazing in the first place. The strength of the Winchester brotherhood. Hopefully we’ll see lots of Sam and Dean Fighting the good fight together!
