Empire season 4 episode 1 spoilers: The Star season 2 crossover + more Demi Moore

Empire season 4 episode 1 is going to be rolling your way later this month on Fox, and this isn’t just your standard episode of the show. After all, “Noble Memory” is going to mark an opportunity for the show to crossover with another Fox property in the show Star, while also bringing forward some resolution to the big season 3 cliffhangers. At the top of the list is simply a matter of Lucious knowing who he is.

This series, (in one way or another) has struggled with a nature-vs-nurture debate. Is Lucious Lyon innately who he is because it’s a part of his personality, or is he like this more because of his upbringing? If you think about what we’ve heard so far in the rumor mill, it could be more of the latter. Lucious could be a kinder man without his history of abuse and checkered past, and there could be ways in which the family reaps the rewards of that. However, it’s also not just Lucious anymore. How do the likes of Cookie and Jamal deal with a man who, effectively, is not the man that they know? It’s something that should prove interesting to explore this season and you should know that CarterMatt will be there for you every step of the way!

The Empire season 4 episode 1 synopsis below gives you a small sense of Lucious’ storyline, but also the return of Demi Moore. There is also a chance to see Star dive more into this universe courtesy of Queen Latifah stopping by as Carlotta:

“In celebration of Empire’s 20th Anniversary, Lucious makes his first public appearance since the explosion in Las Vegas, but still has no memory of his family, Empire or his life before the accident. A devastated Cookie struggles to rebuild her relationship with him, while keeping a close eye on his nurse, Claudia (guest star Demi Moore). Meanwhile, Andre is faced with an investigation by the LAPD surrounding the night of the explosion, Diana DuBois (guest star Phylicia Rashad) continues her war against the Lyons and the worlds of EMPIRE and STAR collide when Carlotta (guest star Queen Latifah) comes face-to-face with Cookie and Lucious.”

All in all, this meaty synopsis gives you a great sense of what’s coming for the rest of the season, and we’re very eager to watch all of that play out. Hopefully, the worlds of Empire and Star actually mutually benefit each other since you’ll get to know more about each one of the characters and how they react to unusual circumstances. Also, Carlotta running into Cookie and Lucious could be of major benefit to the girl group.
