The Fosters season 5 episode 10 return date hopes for Maia Mitchell, cast
Unfortunately, you will be waiting for a while for the next part of the season to kick off. Odds are that Freeform will not announce The Fosters season 5 episode 10 return date for a while, but we figure that it will be in either January or February. This is the pattern already established by the network ever since the show first premiered; typically the episodes return in mid-to-late January, and then run until either March or April. The only real difference is that there are only 18 episodes this season as opposed to the 20 that there has been in the past. We don’t read into that as any sort of negative sign that the show is in trouble; instead, we view it more as a reminder that typically shows that are longer in their run will, (more often than not) air a shorter batch of episodes. It’s sometimes just a function of scheduling for the network, or a story just naturally wraps up a little bit faster.
Ultimately, there are only nine episodes still to go, and there are probably going to be many different stories that they will bring into the fold. What we would like to see is an even meatier Brandon story, something that integrates Jude more into the rest of the group, or even something big and exciting for Lena that exists beyond just family. The reality is that there is always going to be interesting stories on The Fosters because the writing is so strong and we’re watching characters who are living out a version of a real life. That’s probably even more so the truth with this show when you consider some of what these characters tend to find themselves up to, whether it be as champions of specific causes or kids just fighting to find their place in the world. If nothing else, this show is very relatable for young viewers and with things being kind of dark in the world right now, this series does help shine a light on more personal issues that many of us have dealt with in some way.
As for whether or not we’re gearing up for the final nine episodes of the show, that isn’t clear just yet. Our hope is that we will have at least one more season of The Fosters, if for no other reason than that this show still remains one of Freeform’s most-watched series and it continues to draw headlines for finding unique and interesting ways to push the envelope. It takes chances, and there are many people out there who appreciate that (like us!).
