Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Paul’s current plans (day 71, morning)

Big Brother

As we noted last night in our finale Big Brother 19 update, we were getting a little bit grumpy talking about all of the Kevin-bashing. For the record, that still went on overnight, but we’re going to do our best to get away from that now for the rest of this article and talk strategy.

After all, the game’s in a precarious spot right now for Paul. He needs to keep his numbers, and his numbers are, first and foremost, Josh and Christmas. They appear to be safe for the time being, but this is a crazy game and crazy things can happen. He needs to make sure that after Matt leaves, Raven remains separate from Alex and Jason, who in turn remain separate from Kevin. The good news here is that Raven hates Jason for not using the Veto, and Kevin hates Alex after all of her needling/bullying that she’s thrown his way the past couple of days. Paul’s made himself into the nicer option in almost every scenario, which is pretty ironic given that he’s the one who planted some of these Kevin seeds in the first place.

The next task for Paul and his team is to figure out a way to get either Alex or Jason out of the game, and it feels at this point like they want them out one right after the other. This makes sense, given that once they’re gone you are left with Raven and Kevin — two people who haven’t won a single thing. Paul wants Josh and Christmas to rebuild some bridges with Kevin, just in case he wins Head of Household or has any power in the game. They also just want to see Jason/Alex continue to have conflict with Raven and Kevin, since all of that keeps the attention off of themselves. Jason and Alex, if they win, would likely just nominate Raven and Kevin since they feel like they’ve got Paul on their side.

If either Jason or Alex is going to go home, this coming week is the one to do given that they’re both big targets and Jason cannot play in Head of Household. Just put them both on the block, and you effectively ensure at this point one of them leaves. The goal is that you have to blindside them, given that if you don’t one of them could go for the Tree of Temptation and enable the Two Veto option that could declare both of them safe.

Hopefully…

Today will be a little bit more about gameplay, or maybe today will be the day that some of these players wake up about Paul. We doubt it, but can’t a guy dream? The reality is that everyone is probably going to sit around and talk smack about Kevin for a little while longer just because they find it entertaining. We don’t like it, but it is what it is here.
