The Bachelorette: Dean Unglert endorses Peter Kraus for Bachelor

While it may not be entirely clear who the next star of The Bachelor is right now, what we do know is this: Dean Unglert isn’t ready. He may have been one of the more popular contenders on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, but in some of his own words, he has a little bit of growing up that he still wants to do in order to get to that point.

In speaking on this subject further in an interview with E! News, Dean had the following to say about the talk of him getting that gig:

“I just don’t think I’m ready for it … I just think that from an emotional standpoint I need to figure out a lot more about myself before I dive in and be the lead of anything. I think I have a ways to go before I’m ready for something like that.”

Hey, kudos to Dean for being self-aware, given that this is a trait that is lacking for a good many people out there in Bachelor Nation. He is going to be on Bachelor in Paradise, and maybe that is more his speed right now given that there are fewer expectations and with that, more flexibility for him to try and figure out what he wants from that.

For the record, though, Dean clearly seems to be on the same page with most of America in that he would like to see the gig eventually go to Peter Kraus, who he was close to on the show:

“Hands down, Peter Bachelor 2018, if that’s possible! I don’t know if he’s engaged or not. But I would gladly concede to Peter as next Bachelor.”

There does seem to be a great deal of agreement at the moment in the Peter for Bachelor camp out there — he’s by far the most popular person attached to the role, and provided that he doesn’t end up winning, it feels almost like a lock that the show’s producers end up calling him to get the part in the end. He’s not on Paradise seemingly, he’s the right age for the part, and the female fans of the show seem to be very fond of him. He also could have a story that is worth telling.

Overall, we’re excited to see where the rest of the story this season goes, and we’ll be seeing Dean on the Men Tell All special soon given that this is filming this weekend.
