Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2 spoilers: Jon’s revolt; Tyrion’s plan

Game of Thrones Season 7 episode 2

What lies ahead on Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2? Of course, HBO is cagey about releasing too much information in advance. Nonetheless, we do know that this episode, entitled “Stormborn,” is a clear reference to Daenerys. She’s learning how to be more of a real ruler and not just someone who is great at taking places over. She knows already how difficult this can be, but there may be some further unexpected challenges coming her way. Think in terms of surprises — there are plenty of them in this episode! There’s also probably going to be a ton of violence, something that should be more or less a recurring theme this season.

For the time being, here is what we can tell you courtesy of HBO.

Game of Thrones Season 7 episode 2 synopsis – “Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) receives an unexpected visitor. Jon (Kit Harington) faces a revolt. Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) plans the conquest of Westeros.”

Tyrion is certainly the most important person that Daenerys has on her side, mostly because of his strategic know-how and his people skills. He’s up there with Sam as one of those few people within the Game of Thrones universe who was never able to get by on anything other than his ability to scheme. He knows how to slither his way around out of tough situations.

As for what’s coming up for Jon Snow, why would anyone want to revolt against him? That is one of the weirdest parts of this entire episode given that with his strong Stark ties — and with him not being Ramsay Bolton — you would think that people would embrace him and want to support his reign. In the end, we’ll just see what happens here — and also what needs to be done.

About the promo

Based on what we saw following tonight’s episode, one of the biggest things that we’re going to have a chance to see coming up is a major debate regarding how Jon and the folks in the North should feel about Daenerys and her arrival in Dragonstone. Meanwhile, there’s going to be a big debate as to whether or not Daenerys and her people should just go ahead and give the folks over in King’s Landing everything that they’ve got. After all, they have dragons, a huge army, and King’s Landing is also still in relative disarray.

Expect things to be epic, and also anticipate probably a few moves in here that you wouldn’t otherwise predict. Game of Thrones wouldn’t have it any other way. Check out the promo below to get your sense of the epicness ahead.
