Major Crimes season 6: Where will the story go next?

Major Crimes season 6

When Major Crimes returns, things will be a little different. For starters, the structure of the show will not be the case of the week format, but take on the challenge of presenting a case within four or five episodes. The show demonstrated this in the middle of season 5 with a group of episodes called “White Lies” and again during the end of the season with a two-parter called “Shockwave”.

The audience and critics received both group of episodes favorable and, in fact, they were some of the highest rated episodes of the season.

As far as the storytelling goes, the season will definitely not be a disappointment. If anything the fan-favorite relationship between newly-made Commander Sharon Raydor and Lieutenant Detective Andy Flynn will have fans screaming with joy. As fans know, the pair got engaged and according to creator James Duff, the couple will probably marry around episode five. After that, it would be nice to see if and how they react to being married. For instance, could being married bring a new set of challenges for them? Will they be tested further, even after a blood clot and a heart attack?

Another storyline fans could see is the return of Philip Stroh. It was brought up very briefly in season 5 and never elaborated further. It planted a seed in fans’ minds that his return could be in the near future. If this were to happen, will the squad finally have their final showdown with Stroh and bring him to justice, or will it lead fans further down the rabbit hole?

Finally, Rusty and Gus’s relationship will be another entertaining story to explore. When fans last saw the pair, it did not look good. Although Gus seemed satisfied by the way they left things, Rusty seemed apprehensive. Will they still be together when the new season begins?

Only the highly anticipated season 6 will answer these questions this coming fall.

TNT”s Major Crimes centers around an elite squad within the LAPD that takes on high-profile or sensitive cases. She joins an ensemble cast that includes Oscar and Emmy nominee Mary McDonnell, G.W Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Philip P. Keene, Kearran Giovanni, Jonathan Del Arco, Graham Patrick Martine, Leonard Roberts, and Jessica Meraz.
